Nikki Morrell Buyna has spent 26 years teaching and leading in both K-12 and higher education. As an educator, she taught courses in literature, composition, and humanities while directing various performing arts programs. Her previous roles include Professional Development Coordinator, Education Technology Specialist, elementary school director, and Director of Academics.

 

Currently, Nikki serves as a director at Full Sail University, where she manages the strategic vision, day-to-day operations, and curriculum of the English Department. 

 

Nikki believes that better-supported educators create better learning experiences, and that conviction has driven her work well beyond her official job description. To that end, she hosted a podcast on topics in education, contributed to a variety of online educational sites, and co-authored a book on incorporating social media in the classroom. Today, Nikki shares her experience on TikTok and Instagram: @educationalcheerleader.

 

Nikki holds a Certificate in School Management and Leadership from Harvard University, a Master of Humanities from Tiffin University, and a Bachelor of Arts in English from King University.
